David Powell is the technical coordinator and a contributing editor for what's the 422?. Near the end of a decade-long career in information technology, he began freelance writing in 2003. From 2006 to 2008, he was a correspondent for Montgomery Newspapers, where his stories on local news, politics, business, and education were often syndicated to the Pottstown Mercury and the Norristown Times-Herald.
David is a product of central New Jersey, a savagely uncivilized region with very few Wawa locations. He has shuffled in and out of southeastern Pennsylvania since 1996 and has lived in Limerick Township with his wife and children since 2005. He's also an honors graduate of Villanova University, where he continues to study for his master's degree in history. If you have a burning curiosity about 5th century Europe or are having trouble sleeping, please visit Studenda Mira, his irregularly updated history blog.
Royersford weather guru Tom Thunstrom, who blogs his regional forecasts over at Phillyweather.net, advises What's the 422? that today's winter storm is likely to drop between 9 and 15 inches of snow on the Spring-Ford area.
