The scheduled discussion on a potential skate park in Royersford’s Victory Park turned out to be nothing, really–but stay tuned. Those in attendance at Royersford’s council meeting on Jan. 13 were greeted with a sea of students who weren’t there to comment on the park. Instead, they were trying (at the very last minute, near the end of the marking period) to fulfill a requirement of a political science course at Spring-Ford.
The only comment on the skate park came from Councilman Bruce Burns, who announced a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. He stressed that the meeting would just be on planning for the park, and that no final decision would be made on whether or not the borough would be home to skate park in the future. The borough is seeking volunteers to help with planning the park.
