I stopped by the newly reopened, McCafe-enabled Royersford McDonald’s this morning to sample the new offerings, only to be told by the staff that the “cafe” part of the McCafe doesn’t arrive until next week.
“There will be free samples,” I was told. “Chocolate and stuff.”
I was looking forward to a McMocha to warm my innards on a chilly morning, but I settled for a cup of regular joe and a hash brown. Here’s what’s up as the mercury goes down:
Royersford resident Jason Rutter, 25, found out what happens if you “rent” a PlayStation from Rent-A-Center, don’t pay the monthly bills, and cut off contact with the store: you get arrested.
Royersford Manager Mike Leonard wants borough property owners to know that failing to clear snow and ice from their sidewalks can be very expensive.
In their efforts to convince Montco officials to let them route Philly Expo Center traffic through a private driveway on New Mill Road, Audubon Land Development has offered to spring for a 122-car gravel parking lot in Lower Perkiomen Valley Park.
Former Pottstown Mercury editor Joe Zlomek writes about the county’s plans to accommodate pedestrians at the Sanatoga interchange on Route 422.
The Spring-Ford Community Theater is performing William Gibson’s award-winning 1959 play, The Miracle Worker. Shows are tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday at 7:30pm.

David, just a quick note to say congratulations on what I’m confident will be a terrific information source for residents of The Corridor. I’ve read every item here and enjoyed them all. I’ve also added What’s The 422? to the blogroll at The Limerick Post. Thanks to you and the staff for contributing your time to make us better informed.

Thanks for the kind words, Joe! The site is very much a work in progress. When we have a blogroll, I’ll be sure to return the favor.
