Educators rarely use words like “war” and “back-room politics” in public to describe elected school officials. But at Monday’s meeting of the Owen J. Roberts School Board, several administrators expressed outrage at the sudden termination of Superintendent Myra Forrest.

The Mercury reported this story Wednesday. OJR includes the northern Chester County municipalities of East Vincent, East Coventry, North Coventry and South Coventry.

OJR includes the township of West Vincent as well.

  2. Keith Heater Says:

The motion to recind their previous action of terminating the sbeloved superintendent failed with the same 5-4 vote tally. The 5 childish board members failed to correct their mistake. The other 4 board members candidly addressed the large crowd and they too were asking the same questions of their fellow board members, which basically was WHY ? The 5 uncaring board members seemed to have their own personal agenda andwere not interested in any lively debate or discussion. Appearently, by not answering ANY questions or stating any reason why the superintendent was fired, they hid behind their lawyer and failed to take responsibility for their own actions. OJR was dragged down into the same back door politics and back stabbing that is all too common in Philadelphia. We (the residents) never expected that to happen here.
