The Lakeside Inn and “A-Many Company,” both on Ridge Pike, allegedly failed to follow Pennsylvania regulations on the sale of alcohol.

According to the State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, operators of 3373 W. Ridge Pike failed or refused to file employer withholding tax returns and sales tax returns with Pennsylvania between March 2008 and January 2009.

The Ridge Bar & Grill occupied this location prior to the Whiskey Girl Saloon. An online phone number for the bar was disconnected. Regulators cited A-Many Company for the recent violations, without specifying the business’s name.

On July 16, agents from the Allentown district’s Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement conducted an investigation at The Lakeside Inn, 594 W. Ridge Pike.

Owners were cited for the sale of alcohol under an expired liquor license, according to a state police report. Lakeside, which operates Dylan’s bar inside the establishment, allegedly sold 175 gallons of beer, seven liters of liquor, and 36 liters of wine with an expired license.

In June, state police reported that the business purchased alcohol with insufficient funds in its bank account on March 17 and April 1. A fine between $50 and $1,000 may beĀ  imposed for minor violations. Major violations may cost up to $5,000, according to police.

    Dear 422:

My niece had a bridal showed scheduled at Lakeside Inn for Sept 27th; she called last night to tell us that the Lakeside is apparently closed for good. Their telephone mailbox is full. Do you have any information on whats going on with this establishment, and how we can get the $$ deposit back?
    Thanks, Greg Veith

  2. Michael Hays Says:

I haven’t heard about this closing, Greg. I’ll see what I can find. Thanks for asking.

  3. Yea Man Says:

They are in fact closed for good and the place is up for sale. My fiancee and I were scheduled to be married there in October of this year, and we have yet to receive a call from the owners to notify us of this change – we found out about it via the wedding planner/coordinator. I’d suggest anyone with deposited monies involved contact a lawyer ASAP to file a judgement against the property before it is sold!
