We weren’t able to make it to Thursday night’s Limerick Township meeting. No matter: Joe Zlomek was on the case. The big item on the agenda was a public hearing on the upcoming Sanatoga Springs shopping center, which will be anchored by a Costco wholesale store. Compared to the level of feedback that greeted the arrival of the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, the community response on Thursday evening was decidedly muted. Only one resident spoke during the public comment portion of the meeting.

Craft Ale House, which has taken up residence in the former location of the Limerick Country Deli (and which we are overdue to visit) has received a notice from Daily News beer reporter “Joe Sixpack”. We’re not sure what a Bind Pig is, but when we find out, we’ll let you know.

Royersford weather guru Tom Thunstrom was quoted in an Inquirer story about this winter’s dearth of snow. In the near term, Tom says we may get a dusting on Monday.

Do you know an elderly person who doesn’t get out much, perhaps because of illness? Give Meals on Wheels a call. They’re accepting new clients. If you don’t personally know someone who could benefit from their services, consider making a donation.
