Four intersections in Limerick and Lower Providence townships are the recipients of federal stimulus dollars.

According to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the projects are part of 32 intersection improvements throughout Montgomery County totaling over $4.3 million.

Ridge and Swamp pikes in Limerick, as well as Ridge Pike and Limerick Center Road were selected. In Lower Providence, Trooper Road (Route 363) and Clark Hill Drive/Norrington Drive will receive funds, as will Ridge Pike and Level Road/Evansburg Road.

Lenni Electric Corporation of West Chester, Chester County, was awarded the federally-funded contract to improve traffic flow and enhance pedestrian safety in 11 municipalities, according to a PennDOT press release.

Under this county project, the intersections will receive signal upgrades including new poles and signal heads, and most locations also will get new ADA-compliant ramps and pedestrian countdown timers.

Might anyone know when they are going to fix that nightmare intersection at Ott Rd/Plank Rd and Rt.29? It looks like they already condemned the house there….

I have not heard any news in a loooong time about Plank Rd/Ott Rd and I would like to know myself. But I am guessing not any time soon?

Sad to say I am not near as informed about my local municipalities as I should be (part of the reason I check out this website). Does anyone happen to know which municipality would be responsible and what the most appropriate forum would be to bring this to their attention?

That intersection would be controlled by Perkiomen Twp. They have a picture on thier web site of how the intersection looks now and a picture of how it will look in the future. The house on the corner that is falling down is coming down so the intersection can be improved. I think I heard they (twp) were trying to get a builder to pay for the work. I also heard that Landis supermarket was putting in a gas station in front of the thier store and they were going to do the improvements. You could call the TWP.

I saw signs today that Township Line Road will be closed between Linfield-Trappe and Old Mill Road. Does anybody know how long it will be closed for?
