In the last decade, Lewis Road has become home to a wide array of commercial development. Car dealerships, small medical offices, a child day care center, and multiple Wawas. This influx of commerce co-exists with houses, although some say the partnership has not been mutually beneficial.

Outsourcing Limerick’s codes department: Four months later

Since March 13, three full-time Limerick employees have been removed from the payroll. The board of supervisors selected two firms - Pennoni & Associates and Systems Design Engineering Inc. - to perform the duties of the code enforcement department. But has the move resulted in significant cost savings to date, as Township Manager Dan Kerr predicted four months ago?

FBI probe in Limerick & Skippack: One year later

Last April, federal authorities confirmed that they had seized documents from both the Limerick and Skippack township buildings. A federal grand jury has been formed and interviews have been taking place for the past year, according to several sources who requested anonymity.

For nearly three hours, a small group of Limerick residents waited their turn to question the board of supervisors about a controversial round of layoffs made last month. Annamarie Chestnut, whose husband Paul was one of three people let go, took several shots at the board during an extended meeting Thursday night.

Limerick Twp. pays $90K for playground accident

A young girl fell off a swing at Manderach Memorial Playground in 2001 and broke both her legs, causing permanent disfigurement, according to Limerick's attorney. The accident will cost Limerick $90,000, according to Solicitor Joe McGrory.
